From Phyllis: We worshipped today at this new Free Methodist Church in Lokoja, Kogi State. SFA Assistant Director Reverend John Raji oversees six churches in Kogi State, of which this is the latest! The land and building belong to the Free Methodist Church, but as you can see, the money wasn't there to build a proper structure. I wonder if we couldn't raise enough to help!?
We don't have estimates in yet for the cost, but I couldn't wait to share this opportunity! These beautiful folks at House Of Mercy Church are worshipping the Lord. They are a witness in their community. God's kingdom is moving forward! And WE get to be a part of that! Let's build a solid church for these brothers and sisters in Christ!

ANOTHER New School! Praise God!
Idaku Primary School & Clinic!
From Phyllis: Greetings, friends! Welcome to our new school project in Idaku, Kogi State! Thank you so much to the generous donors who helped to build this school! We spent all day Saturday at this site and in the nearby village, one of FIVE VILLAGES surrounding the school! The numbers of children may very well surpass those at the Bauchi school - over 500 at this point! Can you IMAGINE the impact this ONE SCHOOL will have!? We'll head back there tomorrow with Taju and the well-drilling machine! More pictures next time!
The L-shaped school building!
SFA Assistant Director Reverend John, SFA Manager Lawal, local chief Yusuf, and our SFA mason, Wada, inside the teachers' quarters...
SO MANY desks! Desks are also built on-site. We haul in the lumber, and lock them away safely in a shed until school begins.
We always mold our own blocks on-site. Trucking them in is expensive, and causes too much damage to the blocks. You can see the school and teacher's quarters in the background, on the right. On the left, builders are laying the foundation for the clinic!
Here are lots of beautiful children! Their lovely village is clean and inviting! Want to visit? :)
What a sweet group of Mamas and Grandmas! Nigerian women dress in SUCH beautiful, bright colors! They are SO happy to have a school for their children.
We had a nice visit with the village elders. They are asking if we will build a grazing reserve for them. We would LOVE to do that!
Port Harcourt MOVING FORWARD...?
Still waiting, with various happenings, but NO NEW NEWS. We are waiting on the Lord! :)
Please Pray for *Obed!
We have a chief who wants to come to Jesus, we're calling him *Obed. He has been quietly asking questions, and has been given resources! Over time, he has become afraid to say more. There is SUCH terrible persecution for Muslim Nigerians who want to come to Christ...
IF this man comes to Christ, he will bring his whole HUGE family to Christ as well. He will bring his whole village to Christ. We will hold church services in his school for the surrounding community!
Lord Jesus, you know the man I speak of. You know his heart. Please continue to pursue him. Help him find a way to give his heart to you! Give him courage, and protect him and his family from persecution. Oh LORD, how we want them in our family!
