The image below is of John 3:16 in Fufulde, which translates to "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life."
Bible Translation
Hearing the Bible spoken directly has a special power — no middleman is needed. Of the many Fulfulde dialects, only a few have complete translations of the entire Bible, though many have the New Testament. Several translation teams are working to bring God's Word into these languages.
Please pray for those working on those translation teams:
Please ask God to guide translators and others working on these projects. Pray for clear, energetic minds that will catch mistakes and understand the best words to use in each situation.
Translation teams are often cross-cultural and can be spread apart geographically. Please pray for clarity and understanding as translation teams communicate and make decisions. Pray that they will grow in Christ and love one another as He loves them.
Ask God to grant translators wisdom as they decide on the right modes and methods for distributing the Scriptures. Pray for adequate funding and open doors to get the work done.

President Tinubu Honours Bill Gates as Gates Dedicates Award to Ayuba Gufwan, Executive Secretary of Disability Commission
In a landmark moment of recognition, Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday conferred the national honour of Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR) on billionaire philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder, Bill Gates, in appreciation of his outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s development.
The investiture, held during Gates’ visit to Nigeria, celebrated his decades-long philanthropic efforts in health, education, and poverty alleviation through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
President Tinubu also held a meeting with Dr. Ayuba Burki Gufwan, Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), marking a symbolic moment that highlighted Nigeria’s progress in the fight against polio and its commitment to building a healthier and more inclusive society.
In a remarkable show of humility and solidarity, Gates dedicated the Commander of the Federal Republic award to Chief Ayuba Gufwan, a polio survivor and founder of Wheelchairs for Nigeria. Chief Gufwan has been a leading voice in disability advocacy, dedicating his life to improving the welfare of persons with disabilities across the country.
Having lost the use of his legs to polio at the age of five, Chief Gufwan has empowered thousands by distributing hand-powered tricycles to individuals with mobility challenges, significantly improving their independence and dignity.
Describing him as “a symbol of resilience and hope,” Gates praised Gufwan’s unwavering commitment to disability rights and grassroots advocacy for immunization.
“It’s always an honor to partner with incredible Nigerian healthcare workers, midwives, researchers, innovators, and changemakers—like the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities and Wheelchairs for Nigeria’s Chief Ayuba Gufwan, a polio survivor who has spent his life raising awareness, delivering mobility aids, and championing vaccines. People like him make me hopeful that, despite the odds and obstacles, we can #EndPolio for good,” Gates said.
He added, “His story is not just one of survival, but of leadership and transformation.”
The event marked a significant milestone in Nigeria’s journey toward disability inclusion and underscored the federal government’s recognition of individuals championing change in underserved communities.

“When you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” (Luke 14:12-14)
As the Lord pours Himself into Nigeria, it is an absolute delight to be His hands and feet there. We see the Lord moving mightily! God certainly doesn't NEED us, but He does INVITE us to join Him. Would you care to join us by supporting the work financially?
