It was totally a day from dreams! On Kachia reserve we examined well outputs, measured water depths, checked water quality, watched wells being hand-dug, saw one borehole with a cattle trough that was working, saw shameful, so-called 'schools', set GPS markers the length of the reserve, waded in River Kaduna and identified the four locations where the Fulani have the greatest need for water. Six motorcycles holding two Fulani each escorted us wherever we went! They loved on us, pampered us, fed us delicious Jollof rice with goat meat and 'no-no' till we could eat no more. And we loved on them. Another wonderful day!
