It’s been another wonderful day on Bobi reserve. We found water in an area a few meters from the first failed site in Kilishi, then moved on to the second site in Old Man’s village, next to the ‘Big Dam’.

I have to conclude, after seeing the nomadic schools on Kachia and the lack of them on Bobi and Garbagal, that Nomadic Education has failed the Fulani people.

At first I thought it was music from someone’s radio…

At 8 am this morning, about thirty Fulani leaders from all over the Bobi reserve came for a meeting in Kilishi camp. We had discovered stolen pumps in existing boreholes and needed to discuss the security of the pumps we wanted to install

I wish you could look through my eyes right now! I'm sipping my morning coffee in our camp in Kilishi village, site of borehole #1, Bobi grazing reserve. Fresh bread awaits on a little table under the mango tree.

The past two days have been a struggle, to say the least.

But life is full of surprises!

The duress is, my body is screaming for more sleep, but my mind knows it's time to rise, shine and drill two more boreholes before this day is over!

Thank you all for opening school for these children and giving them the opportunity to learn, which ever single child should have the right to do!
